BODEGAS LA CASA DE LÚCULO: Bodegas La Casa de Lúculo was founded in 1999 in Mendigorría, Navarra, aiming to recover the abandoned wild vines of “Garnacha Atlántica” growing in the area of Low Mountain of Navarra Designation of Origin. The vineyards cover an area of 15 hectares of “Garnacha Atlántica” vines older than 100 years located at more than 600 meters in the mountains of Mendigorría and Aibar.
Along with the winery’s philosophy towards a natural and traditional elaboration that allows to extract the true expression of old Garnacha from Navarra, Bodegas La Casa de Lúculo obtained the ECOLOGICAL certification for the elaboration process of its wines in 2011.
In 2013 and after years of working hand in hand, the project led by the couple of oenologists formed by Virginia Arranz and Juan Glaría, becomes part of the winemaking group Axial Vinos ushering the start of a new period for the winery that would be driven by the organic and super premium wine elaborations.
DO NAVARRA: A key characteristic of this designation of origin is the extraordinary diversity of its climate and landscape wich spread across more than 100 kilometres lying between the area around Pamplona in the north and the Ebro river plain to the south. Its exceptional location is marked by the confluence of the Atlantic, Continental and Mediterranean climates.
